Catalog Description

ECPE 71: Number systems, binary arithmetic, Boolean logic. Analysis and synthesis of combinational and sequential circuits. Use of MSI, LSI, FPGA and CPLD devices.

ECPE 71L: Laboratory treatment of the concepts discussed in ECPE 71.

Course objective

The objective of this course, along with its laboratory component, is to give you the ability to design, build, and test simple digital circuits that meet given sets of specifications. Upon completion of this course you should be able to use standard logic devices to build combinational and sequential logic circuits use computer tools that will aid in the design and simulation of your circuits.
