Background

Professor Turpin earned a BSEE and a BS Math at Iowa StateUniversity,an MSEE at University of Southern California and thePh.D. at Ohio State University. He joined the faculty of theDepartment of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Universityof the Pacific in 1984, and became department chair in 1990. Dr. Turpin retired from Pacific at the end of spring semester 2005.

He is a member of ASEE, IEEE, Tau BetaPi, Eta Kappa Nu and Sigma Xi.
His hobbies include photography,tennis, golf (ha!), cycling, and music (French horn & trumpet).
