| Solving
BRAK's need for power
Welcome all! My name is Jason and I am doing a bit of research with the Computer Vision and
Robotics Group at UOP. My goal for this site is to let you in on what I am up to while
keeping the web-cruising clean and clear.
This is site version 2.0 so
there are a few additions:
There is actually stuff here
besides links! ..."and
there was much rejoicing..yea...."
My presentations for Fall 98 are here for your viewing
pleasure.
So is my current research paper... in progress, of course...
Schnazzy new-er CVRG logo!
...boredom + photoshop5 = logo.
A top notch Résumé!
And more! Peruse at your
leisure.
What Am I Doing Anyway? As with all autonomous robots, eventually their batteries will run
out of power. In my side of BRAK
and Shrimp's research, I have
chosen to develop a system that will have BRAK detect when its power cells are running
low, have him seek out a wall plug and plug itself in. This project is the accumulation of
many topics in current robotics: power management, motion, vision and identification, and
robotic arm motion. For the complete report of things, you have to check out the paper. It is worth your time!
Quick Tour: Everything is accessible through the imagelinks on the left
bar. Here is the quick synopsis of what lies behind...
