DESCRIPTION OR INDEX TO ATTACHED DESCRIPTION:

I. General Description:
The spring candidate activities followed along the traditional lines of polishing the Bent and painting the Engineering "Rock".

II. Purpose & Relationship to Objectives of TBPi:
The candidate activities give members a chance to evaluate the willingness of the candidates to participate in Tau Beta Pi events, and provide a nice time for members, candidates, and faculty and student passers-by to socialize.

III. Organization & Administration: in conjunction with another group? No
We had the supplies on hand, and needed only to make sure the candidates and members knew about the event.

IV. Cost & Personnel Requirements:
We used the previous semester's Brass-O, latex paint, and spray paint. Several of the members were present to instruct the candidates on polishing and painting.

V. Special Problems:
None.

VI. Over-all Evaluation/Results (Be specific):
The event provided a good chance for many students and faculty to enjoy some time outdoors. One candidate enjoyed the project so much that he wanted to go paint another rock on campus.
