DESCRIPTION OR INDEX TO ATTACHED DESCRIPTION:

I. General Description:
Because our Worldwide Web server is fairly new, many of the student organizations in the School of Engineering did not have web pages, and did not know how to create them. Because our chapter already had a Tau Beta Pi page up, several members of the faculty requested that we present a seminar to other club officers.

II. Purpose & Relationship to Objectives of TBPi:
The workshop was provided wholly as a service to educate and assist other engineering clubs at our school in publicizing their organizations.

III. Organization & Administration: in conjunction with another group? No
The president and chief advisor of our chapter conducted the workshop. The event was publicized by Tau Beta Pi. Each club's representatives were provided with an HP workstation and a sample page to use as a template and shown how to add links and pictures to personalize the page.

IV. Cost & Personnel Requirements:
No cost was incurred to our chapter. We used the workstations available in one of the Engineering labs. The chief advisor and president conducting the seminar were already knowledgeable in HTML.

V. Special Problems:
None.

VI. Over-all Evaluation/Results (Be specific):
We had a very good turnout, with the majority of the engineering clubs represented. The workshop gave everyone a good start at getting their pages up and running. The results can be seen on the web at /eng/student-organizations/ and the California Phi chapter page is located at
