DESCRIPTION OR INDEX TO ATTACHED DESCRIPTION:

I. General Description:
Dr. Ross from the School of Engineering who once worked at UC Berkeley in Graduate School Admissions offered to give a seminar on choosing, applying to, and financing graduate school.

II. Purpose & Relationship to Objectives of TBPi:
The event allowed our chapter to assist students wishing to further their education, but unsure about how to proceed.

III. Organization & Administration: in conjunction with another group? Yes
Dr. Ross organized the presentation, and the chapter provided refreshments and publicity for the event.

IV. Cost & Personnel Requirements:
The only costs incurred were those for the snacks and publicity materials.

V. Special Problems:
Due to the structuring of the Engineering program here at UOP, most students graduating in the spring were out on co-op and could not attend. Also, because of the timing of the event so closely after initiation, we did not publicize the event early enough, so attendance was lower than we had hoped.

VI. Over-all Evaluation/Results (Be specific):
The presentation was quite helpful and informative. Hopefully, in the future we will be able to repeat the presentation with greater attendance.
