This webpage is dedicated to informing the general public about clinical investigations. Clinical Investigations are also known as clinical trials, and clinical studies, and may be referenced as so in different part of the webpage. A clinical trial involves many different people, and occurs in four different phases (Phases of A Clinical Trial), that all attempt to answer specific questions on the product beign tested. The trial is conducted on human test subjects. The data obtained from these subjects are then sent to the Food and Drug Administration, where the product is either approved or denied for public use. Clinical trials are important because they allow experimental drugs to be tested to see what effects if any occur, as well as provide alternative methods for diseases to be treated. Clinical investigations are the safest and fastest way to obtain more medical knowledge to help find potential cures for diseases and other conditions.
