- Extensive studies in the Drum Set as well as rigorous study of music theory, composition, recording and session performance.
- 4.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average
- Studying/Working experience with Alternative/Rock bands, Progressive Rock/Metal bands, Jazz Combos and Big Bands.
- Honorary Member of the Percussive Arts Society.
- Studied privately with Tim "Herb" Alexander (formerly of the band Primus) and with Joe Morello.
Cheyenne Mountain High School (1995 - 1999)
- High School tucked away in the Rockies of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
- High School Diploma
- Participated in the top Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, and Symphonic Band.
- Music mentor for younger drum set players.
- Studied privately with the most respected drummer/percussionist in Colorado, George Johnson.
Employment
Free-lance Musician/Drum-Technician/Studio Technician (Summer 1999 - Spring 2000; Los Angeles, CA): Played and recorded with several music bands and participated in several recording projects; including Bosozuko, Adamantine, and C-4. Drum-teched for Chris Pennie, Matt Walker, Steve Gillis, Chris Vrenna, Josh Freese, and Matt Chamberlin.
Music Merchant (1998 - 1999; Tower Records, Colorado Springs, Colorado): Customer service, stocking music and movies.
Drum Technician/Roadie (Summer 1998, for band Thirty-Ought Six): Setting up, taking down drum sets and stage duties during a band's tour season. Duties included drum maintenance, musician assistance and care, stage assistance, and handling various problems that arise during the tour's duration.
