Welcome to the Xue Laboratory

My research activities focus on synthesis of chemical sensors and study of drug/nucleic acids interactions. Ongoing projects combine areas of synthetic organic chemistry, biochemistry, and bioanalytical chemistry. Synthesis of chemical sensors involves development of novel types of small molecules to target and detect DNA lesions in DNA. These chemical sensors can be potentially used as diagnostic probes. Study of drug/nucleic acids interactions focuses on synthesizing cross-linking reagents and investigating their interactions with unique nucleic acid structures. |
