Information
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional
fraternity organized to foster the study
of business in universities;
to encourage scholarship, social activity and the
association of students for
their mutual advancement by research and
practice; to promote closer
affiliation between the commercial world
and students of commerce,
and to further a higher standard of commercial
ethics and culture and the
civic and commercial welfare of the community.
Delta Sigma Pi was founded at New York
University on November 7, 1907
and
is a professional fraternity. The Lambda Mu Chapter was founded in 1984
on the University of the Pacific campus at
the Eberhardt School of Business.
The purpose of Delta Sigma Pi is to improve personal and professional
effectiveness
by developing
interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and professionalism. The
members of Delta Sigma Pi aspire to
utilize tools which they have acquired in the classroom,
by involvement in finance projects and
business related community service.
The professional activities program seeks to
help the members to support and
develop skills that are learned in the
classroom from those who are involved in
the everyday business world.
Deltasigs often hear professional speakers and go on
tours to learn more about a variety of
subjects.
The goal of the Lambda Mu Chapter is to
provide the opportunity for students to
develop leadership and innovation skills as
well as professionalism in the spirit
of friendship and fraternal unity.
